Therapist - Family Based Mental Health Program

Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Job Summary

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.  Provide intensive family based services as a team member with a mental health worker in an effort to prevent out of home placement and improve family relations.  Services are delivered primarily in the family’s home and include:  individual, family and group therapy; assessments; service coordination; and crisis prevention/intervention.


Specific Duties
 

  1. Provide initial and on-going comprehensive assessments of identified families and youth
  2. Provide individual, family, and group therapy with identified families using eco-systemic structural family therapy model. 
  3. Work collaboratively with assigned mental health worker team member to provide comprehensive services and linkages
  4. Provide 24/7 beeper coverage on a rotating basis
  5. Deliver services in a manner convenient to families, this includes evening and weekend service provision
  6. Consult with psychiatrist on a regular basis and attend psychiatric appointments with the youth and family
  7. Collaborate on a regular basis with all systems involved with the youth and family
  8. Provide on going role modeling and skill building to families
  9. Provide case management services as needed
  10. Attend and participate in required eco-systemic family therapy trainings in addition to required state and local trainings
  11. Demonstrate commitment to learning and practicing the eco-systemic structural family therapy model, by bringing videotaped sessions to supervision, utilization of genograms, eco-maps, and structural maps
  12. Present cases both to peers at PATH, Inc. and at training program
  13. Complete all documentation in a timely, comprehensive and legible manner and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures
  14. Contribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking and data gathering as assigned
  15. Meet productivity standards for your position

Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family or psychology from an accredited college or university with two years post-Master’s experience working with families.  Driver’s license & use of personal vehicle required.

Salary

$47,653 Annually; $22.91 per hour -  without PA clinical licensure
$50,586 Annually; $24.32 per hour – with PA clinical licensure
